Ric Flair Shares Health Update After Hospitalization Following Fall

Wrestling icon Ric Flair has shared a health update following a fall that led to his hospitalization in Tampa, Florida. The 77-year-old was taken to the hospital by ambulance after falling at a Tampa restaurant on Friday morning.

According to reports, Flair stood up from the bar, leaving his phone and drink, and subsequently fell while walking across the street. The incident reportedly caused cuts to his face and the area around his eye, with concerns of a possible concussion.

Flair posted a photo from his hospital bed on Saturday, showing himself wearing an eye patch secured with tape. Despite the visible injury, he offered a smile while thanking fans for their well-wishes and the hospital staff for their care. He stated he will respond to messages individually as he recovers.

"I will get back to you each individually as I get stronger," Flair wrote. "Thank you to all the Tampa General Hospital staff and doctors that put up with me until 4:30am. I appreciate you all and thank you for everything you did for me! I am focused on my healing and recovery right now. I will be okay!"

He also addressed posts on his official Facebook page, which he stated he no longer owns. He apologized for what he described as "reckless posting behavior" that occurred on the page during his hospitalization, deeming it "completely inappropriate."

Hours before his fall, Flair had canceled a planned appearance in Seattle due to advice against flying. He explained that he is dealing with a blood clot in his leg, and his doctors have limited his travel to three to four hours, making the trip to Seattle unfeasible.

"Blood clots are extremely serious and can be life-threatening," Flair noted, referencing the recent health issues of NFL player Jalen Hurts as a reminder of the seriousness of such conditions. "It is a reminder that this is not something to take lightly, and I must follow medical advice."

Flair's daughter, professional wrestler Charlotte Flair, had previously shared that her father "is going to be OK."
