Ric Flair Returns Home Following Hospitalization After Fall

Wrestling icon Ric Flair is back home following a hospitalization caused by a fall outside a Tampa restaurant on Friday. The 77-year-old shared a statement on social media on Saturday, thanking his supporters and the hospital staff.

"Thank you all for the messages and prayers!" Flair posted, accompanied by a photo showing him with a bandage over his right eye. "I will get back to you all individually as I get stronger. Thank you to Tampa General Hospital staff and doctors that put up with me until 4:30 a.m.. I appreciate you all and thank you for everything you did. I am focused on my healing and recovery right now, and I will be okay."

According to a report, Flair, who has been dealing with blood clots, "suddenly fell and injured his face" after leaving a restaurant. He reportedly cut his head and eye in the incident before being transported by ambulance.

His daughter, WWE superstar Charlotte Flair, initially provided an update on his condition, assuring fans that he would be alright and humorously attributing the fall to an old wrestling trope.

Ric Flair's son-in-law and podcast host, Conrad Thompson, also confirmed that Flair had returned home.

The fall occurred hours after Flair had expressed regret for missing a scheduled appearance due to blood clots in his legs, which had limited his travel to three to four hours. He had emphasized the seriousness of blood clots, noting their potential to be life-threatening.

Flair, who is under contract with AEW, had been planning a procedure to address the vein issues related to his blood clots in hopes of improving his ability to travel. The impact of his recent fall on his ongoing treatment remains unclear.
