Wrestling icon Ric Flair is expected to recover after a recent hospitalization stemming from a fall.
His daughter, fellow WWE wrestler Charlotte Flair, provided a health update on Friday evening, stating that her father "is going to be ok." She shared this update via X, referencing her father's past rivalry with The Ultimate Warrior by joking that he attributed his fall to the wrestler.
The hospitalization followed an incident where Flair, 77, reportedly fell and injured his face outside a restaurant in Tampa, Florida. According to reports, Flair stood up from his seat at the restaurant, left his phone and drink behind, and then fell while crossing the street. The fall resulted in injuries to his head and eye.
This event occurred shortly after Flair had revealed a separate health concern to his fans. On Friday morning, he posted on X that he had been diagnosed with a blood clot in his leg, which led to the cancellation of an appearance at Washington State Horror Con in Seattle. Flair emphasized the seriousness of blood clots, citing recent complications experienced by other public figures, and stated he must prioritize his health.
Flair had indicated he was scheduled for a procedure to treat the affected vein, expressing optimism that it would allow him to resume his travel schedule.
