Wrestling legend Ric Flair initially sparked conversation on social media by announcing that his ex-girlfriend Wendy Barlow had returned to him following their September 2024 split. Flair, who had been with Barlow for 13 years before their separation, posted on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday that he was "available" and praised Barlow for her care during their relationship.

However, in a subsequent post on Monday, Flair clarified that the pair are not romantically involved again. He explained that their focus is on rekindling their 34-year-old friendship. According to Flair, Barlow has her own residence, and he maintains his own. Her primary reason for visiting the Tampa area is to care for her parents, who are in their 80s and experiencing health issues.

Flair stated that Barlow will continue her work traveling and assisting people in other countries, while he will resume public appearances and autograph signings. He urged followers not to interpret the positive interactions negatively.

Flair also emphasized Barlow's continued support, noting that she reminds him she will be there if he experiences significant health problems again. He recalled a severe health crisis in 2017, during which he was hospitalized for 31 days in the ICU after a ruptured intestine, facing a 20 percent chance of survival. He also mentioned a medical emergency in May 2019 that required surgery.

Flair and Barlow held a wedding ceremony in 2018, but Flair confirmed in 2022 that they were never legally married. When announcing their split in September 2024, Flair had thanked Barlow for her support during his 2017 health crisis. Flair has been married four times previously.
