RHONY's Jessel Taank Criticizes Daisy Toye's Rent-Controlled Apartment

On an upcoming episode of The Real Housewives of New York City, castmate Jessel Taank offers her unfiltered opinions on Daisy Toye's rent-controlled apartment, particularly focusing on its dated decor and prolonged tenancy.
In a preview clip, Taank visits Toye's New York City residence and immediately notices the apartment's popcorn ceiling. "Daisy, there's popcorn on your ceiling," Taank remarks, later calling it "museum-worthy" in her confessional.
Toye reveals that she has lived in the apartment for 10 years, while her partner, Eugene, has resided there for 21 years. The concept of a long-term rental, especially in a rent-controlled unit, surprises fellow castmate Erika Hammond, who describes the situation as "psycho."
Taank questions Toye about her happiness in the space, given its apparent limitations. Toye defends her situation by highlighting the financial advantages of rent control in New York City. "Jessel, our rent is what you pay Doctor Balakin to laser your beard once a month," Toye states in her confessional, emphasizing the significant cost savings.
Hammond, while more diplomatic, also comments on the unique aspects of the apartment, noting that some apartments she has seen have kitchens located within their bathrooms, implying Toye's space is not the most extreme example.
