RHONY Newcomer Daisy Toye Doesn't Want Martha Stewart as a Full-Time Cast Member
Toye cites a desire to avoid conflict with her 'best friend' as the primary reason.
Daisy Toye, a new cast member on "The Real Housewives of New York City," has expressed her preference against Martha Stewart joining the show as a full-time cast member. Toye stated in an exclusive interview with Page Six's "Virtual Reali-Tea" that she values her friendship with Stewart and wishes to avoid any potential conflicts that could arise from their working relationship on the show.
"I don't wanna fight with her," Toye told Page Six. "I like her where she is now. I could FaceTime her when I need her. I also do her makeup."
Stewart, a lifestyle guru, has made guest appearances on the current season of "RHONY." Toye, a makeup artist by profession, joined the show alongside fellow newcomers Erika Hammond and Hailey Glassman. Toye also has a pre-existing connection with cast member Sai De Silva, having met more than two decades ago while working together at the strip club Scores.
While not an official cast member, Stewart's name has surfaced in some of the season's drama. Glassman recently claimed that Stewart "dined and dashed" after a pre-filming cast dinner at The Polo Bar. Toye, however, defended Stewart's actions, explaining that Stewart arrived late and only stayed briefly.
"Of course she's not gonna pay," Toye said. "She didn't come for dinner."
Toye elaborated that Stewart had been invited last minute to meet the cast after attending a conference. "She was at a conference and she's like, 'I'll be there around 10 o'clock.' We were done with dinner," Toye explained. "She might've had a sip of my martini or margarita. Why should she pay?"
"The Real Housewives of New York City" airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo and streams the following day on Peacock.
