A Rhode Island man claims he had a close encounter with Bigfoot while driving through Voluntown, Connecticut, after the Fourth of July holiday. Kevin Klimas reported that a large, hairy creature suddenly ran across the road in front of his vehicle.
Klimas described the creature as approximately 8-and-a-half feet tall, walking on two legs, and covered in matted, greasy brown hair. He stated that the being had no visible genitalia or other anatomical features indicating its sex. Specifically, Klimas told the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization that the creature had "no boobs." This detail addresses a long-standing point of discussion stemming from the famous 1967 film by Roger Patterson and Robert Gimlin, which depicts a Sasquatch with a prominent, fur-covered bosom.
Klimas further detailed the creature's physical characteristics, noting that its legs appeared shorter than its torso and its arms hung past its knees. He estimated its wingspan, if fully outstretched, to be between 8 and 9 feet. The being also reportedly had a cone-shaped head with minimal facial hair and walked in a manner similar to a human. It crossed the road in two steps before disappearing into the woods.
The Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization has deemed Klimas' sighting a "Class A" report, indicating their belief that he genuinely encountered the mythical creature. Mike Young, an investigator for the organization, stated that Klimas' description closely matches a report from October 2019 involving a nearly identical Sasquatch sighting in the same vicinity. Young described the two accounts as "almost identical."
