Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has described his diet as remarkably uninhibited, stating in a recent interview that he will "literally eat anything" and possesses no gag reflex.

Kennedy, who is running as an independent candidate for president, made the remarks to USA Today's Swapna Venugopal Ramaswamy while promoting his new cooking program, "The Real Food Show." The program aims to encourage viewers to prepare "healthy, affordable" meals at home. He emphasized his enjoyment of "experimenting" with food and his willingness to try items from street vendors when traveling.

This is not the first time Kennedy has spoken about his adventurous eating habits. In 2024, he previously stated he would eat "virtually anything," with the exceptions of humans, monkeys, and dogs.

When asked if he had consumed anything others might find "gross," Kennedy appeared to receive a signal from his team to avoid the question, smiling and chuckling with the reporter afterward.

The candidate's history includes past reports of unusual interactions with animals and food. A photo that had linked him to eating a barbecued dog carcass was later found by Snopes to depict a lamb. In another instance, Kennedy admitted to leaving a dead bear cub in Central Park, initially stating he had planned to skin it and refrigerate the meat, later explaining he stored roadkill in his freezer to help feed ravens. His daughter previously claimed he had sawed the head off a beached whale and transported it via minivan, a claim the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration deemed unfounded. He has also reportedly laughed off a biographer's account of him cutting off a dead raccoon's penis in 2001 for later study.
