Rep. Thomas Massie, R-Ky., suggested that the Affordable Care Act could now be called "Trumpcare," asserting that the Republican Party has made no substantial effort to repeal the healthcare law since gaining control of the House, Senate, and White House.

"Might as well call it Trumpcare now. Our party has made no serious effort to repeal Obamacare and legalize affordable health insurance after taking control of the House, Senate & White House," Massie posted on X, formerly Twitter. He added that the current system benefits insurance and hospital companies.

In response to a user asking if President Trump could take action independently, Massie stated that the president has endorsed numerous Republicans who support maintaining Obamacare. Fox News Digital reached out to the White House for comment.

Massie, who has served in the House since late 2012, lost the Republican primary in Kentucky's 4th Congressional District in May to Ed Gallrein, a challenger backed by former President Donald Trump.
