Federal authorities seized Rep. Ilhan Omar's cell phone during a Department of Homeland Security raid on her Washington, D.C. home. The raid is reportedly tied to a criminal fraud investigation concerning her immigration paperwork.

Investigators have issued more than a dozen subpoenas to Omar's family members as part of the probe, which is examining allegations that her family may have provided false information about her age when she immigrated to the United States in 1995. Omar became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2000. At the time of her naturalization, she was reportedly listed as 17 years old, making her eligible for automatic citizenship through her father.

Questions regarding Omar's age and immigration history surfaced following an official request made by her congressional staff to a Minnesota public library. Months after she took office, her staff reportedly sought to change her birth year in historical records from 1981 to 1982.

Omar's husband, Tim Mynett, stated that his wife came to the U.S. as a child refugee at age 12 and expressed confidence in the ongoing investigation. "No concerns," Mynett told Fox News Digital.

Authorities are also reportedly reviewing immigration documents submitted by Omar's late father, Nur Omar Mohamed, to determine if any statements on his applications were untruthful.

Omar has denied any wrongdoing. Her office issued a statement accusing the Trump administration of using federal law enforcement against political opponents. "For a decade, Donald Trump has relentlessly targeted Congresswoman Ilhan Omar with inflammatory rhetoric, repeatedly putting a target on her back," the statement read. "Now, those attacks have escalated to a pointless federal raid. The Congresswoman has done nothing wrong. No president should be able to use the power of the federal government to intimidate his political enemies."

In addition to the immigration inquiry, a separate investigation is reportedly underway concerning Omar's federal financial disclosures. Officials have noted that this financial disclosure review is unrelated to the raid on her home.
