Malcolm Offord, the leader of Reform UK in Scotland, has revealed he was diagnosed with prostate cancer on May 7, the same day as the Holyrood election. Offord underwent a procedure last week to have his prostate removed and stated he is now "clear" and "raring to go."

Speaking at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Offord described his cancer diagnosis as a "scary thing" and encouraged men to seek regular medical check-ups. Offord, a former Conservative peer, led Reform UK to secure 17 seats in the Scottish Parliament elections in May.

He shared that while the diagnosis was initially frightening, he drew comfort from friends who had experienced similar health challenges. Offord expressed optimism that increased public discussion, particularly among men who have historically been hesitant to discuss such issues, is beneficial.
