Jamar Goff, the foster son of "The Pioneer Woman" star Ree Drummond, has been sentenced in a drug possession and assault case. Goff, 23, received a 48-month suspended sentence for second-degree assault and a separate 24-month suspended sentence for unlawful possession of a controlled substance, according to Alabama court documents.
He was also placed on 12 months of supervised probation and ordered to complete a substance abuse evaluation and submit to random drug testing. A judge ordered Goff released from custody and banned him from the University of Alabama at Birmingham campus.
The sentencing follows Goff's September arrest in Birmingham, Alabama. University police responded to a call about a man sleeping on a bench. Goff allegedly told officers he was waiting to purchase methamphetamine. Although initially allowed to leave, officers later discovered an outstanding arrest warrant.
When officers attempted to apprehend him, Goff reportedly fled and allegedly struck a female officer in the chin. Police found a glass pipe and approximately 1.8 grams of suspected methamphetamine. Goff was charged with second-degree assault, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, attempting to elude police, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
This is not the first time Goff has faced allegations of violence. Previously, a woman who claimed to be dating Goff accused him of grabbing her by the neck, punching a hole in her wall, and throwing her dog against a wall in May 2025.
