Red Hulk Statue Vandalized Again in West Hollywood

The life-sized Red Hulk statue located outside The Lab Athletic Club in West Hollywood has been subjected to another act of vandalism, leaving the gym with an estimated $6,000 repair bill. Surveillance footage captured a man attacking the statue early Friday morning, subsequently tearing apart its upper torso and dragging the debris across Sunset Boulevard.

This incident marks the latest in a series of attacks on the statue, which was installed last year. Prior to Friday's damage, previous incidents had already cost over $15,000 in repairs. These past attacks include the alleged removal of one of the Hulk's arms in January, damage to its face on January 19 by a skateboarder, puncture wounds to the chest during the summer of 2025, and an apparent headbutting incident later that year.

The statue also fell victim to natural elements when powerful Santa Ana winds toppled it on December 17, 2025, shattering it into numerous pieces. Following a professional restoration, the statue was returned to its prominent location outside the gym, only to become a target once more.

Police have been notified and a report has been filed. The gym is seeking assistance from the public, requesting anyone who witnessed the incident or has additional video footage to contact law enforcement or provide the information directly to the business. In an Instagram post, the gym expressed frustration over the repeated damage to their property and emphasized their pursuit of accountability.
