Actress Rebel Wilson stated she doesn't believe it was coincidental that Isla Fisher announced her separation from Sacha Baron Cohen shortly after Wilson made allegations against him.
Rebel Wilson has indicated that she does not consider it a coincidence that Isla Fisher separated from her husband, Sacha Baron Cohen, in April 2024, a week after Wilson publicly accused the comedian of harassment.

Wilson shared her perspective on Isla Fisher's divorce announcement during an appearance on Samantha Armytage's show, Act Two. "I don't think it is coincidental that the announcement came after my book was released. I think it was probably brewing a lot," Wilson stated. She added, "I just wish her well. I obviously don't know all the details about what Isla personally experienced, but I hope she is now crushing it, and finding her next act after her divorce."
Despite not having spoken to Fisher since the split, Wilson expressed admiration for her work, calling her "such a talented actress" and "so funny."
Baron Cohen, who co-wrote and produced "Grimsby," has denied Wilson's claims. His representatives told TMZ that the accusations are "demonstrably false" and are contradicted by "extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of The Brothers Grimsby."
While Wilson's memoir was published in the United States, the chapter detailing her allegations against Baron Cohen was redacted in the UK version. Wilson attributed this to "the peculiarities of the law in England and Wales," while Baron Cohen's legal team referred to it as a "clear victory."
Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen announced their separation in 2023, with their divorce finalized in June 2024. Fisher has spoken about the challenges of divorce, describing it as a "different grief" but also an opportunity to "create a new identity after your divorce is so fun."
