The "Risky Business" and "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" star has more than 60 film and television credits.
Actress Rebecca De Mornay, known for her roles in 1980s and 1990s films, was recently seen on a rare public outing in Los Angeles. The 67-year-old star has accumulated over 60 film and television credits throughout her career.
De Mornay's breakthrough role came in the 1983 film "Risky Business," where she played Lana, a call girl who seduces Tom Cruise's teenage character. Their on-screen chemistry led to rumors of a real-life romance, with former co-star Curtis Armstrong claiming in his memoir that they engaged in an intense affair during filming. De Mornay and Cruise were reportedly seen together at a screening of "The Breakfast Club" in 1985.
Following "Risky Business," De Mornay's career flourished. She starred in "The Trip to Bountiful" and "Runaway Train" in the 1980s. In 1992, she took on a chilling role as the psychotic nanny, Mrs. Mott, in the thriller "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle." The film, a commercial success, earned praise for her performance.
De Mornay married writer Bruce Wagner in 1986, and they divorced in 1990. She was briefly engaged to singer Leonard Cohen and later had a relationship with sportscaster Patrick O'Neal, with whom she shares two daughters, Sophia and Veronica. More recently, De Mornay has appeared in the 2005 comedy "Wedding Crashers" and the Marvel series "Jessica Jones."
