Reality television personality Stephen Bear has been sentenced to 24 weeks in prison after admitting to five counts of failing to comply with sex offender register requirements. The sentencing occurred just over a week after Bear was given a 16-month jail term for repeatedly breaching a restraining order against his former partner, Georgia Harrison.
At Thames Magistrates' Court, Bear, 36, was found to have failed to notify the police about a trip to Brazil and his subsequent return to the UK within the required three-day timeframe. He also neglected to report acquiring a new passport and two bank cards during his travels. These actions constituted a violation of his sex offender notification duties.
Bear had previously been handed a five-year restraining order and a 21-month prison sentence in 2023 for sharing a sexually explicit video of Ms. Harrison on his OnlyFans platform without her consent. A judge also ordered him to repay £22,305, which prosecutors stated he earned from subscribers.
Following his release from prison for the initial offense, Bear violated the restraining order by posting derogatory remarks about Ms. Harrison on multiple social media platforms, including Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, X, and YouTube. He also initiated an online petition seeking support for a retrial and attempting to obtain Ms. Harrison's bank statements.
Bear's defense attorney had argued that Bear was unaware of the requirement to register his travel and new acquisitions with the police. The attorney explained that Bear obtained new bank cards because his existing one was blocked during his time in Brazil and that he applied for a new passport after losing his original one. Bear returned to the UK in April 2026 following his father's death.
Deputy district judge Claire Pithie informed Bear that the 24-week sentence would take immediate effect and advised him to reconsider his actions, noting that he has a child on the way. Bear acknowledged the judge's remarks as he left the dock.
