Steven McBee Jr., star of the reality series "McBee Dynasty: Real American Cowboys," has voiced his support for Indiana Fever guard Sophie Cunningham amidst the ongoing debate about transgender athletes in women's sports. McBee Jr. criticized fellow Bravo personality West Wilson for his stance on the issue and argued that men should not dictate policies affecting female athletes.

In an appearance on "Tomi Lahren Is Fearless," McBee Jr. stated that as a man, the transgender sports issue does not directly affect him. He asserted that men should not weigh in on decisions that directly impact female athletes, suggesting the matter is for women to decide as they face the repercussions. "I don't think any man should be really speaking from their perspective on things," he said.

Cunningham recently drew attention for her comments that it is "common sense" for men to stay out of women's sports. Following her remarks, she faced criticism, including from her podcast co-host Wilson. McBee Jr. expressed respect for Cunningham's willingness to voice her opinion and stand by her beliefs.

He suggested that Wilson's political leanings influenced his criticism of Cunningham's position. However, McBee Jr. contended that the issue of transgender athletes should transcend political divides. "It shouldn't be right-wing and damn sure shouldn't be men commenting on who and what should be allowed in women's sports," McBee Jr. reasoned. "That's for, in my opinion, women to decide because they're the ones dealing with the repercussions, whatever may come from that."

The WNBA has become a focal point for these discussions, with athletes and personalities engaging in the debate. It remains to be seen how this polarizing issue will continue to unfold among public figures.
