Yakir Levi, a Los Angeles-based reality television personality and real estate developer, died after falling from the 28th floor of the Acqualina Resort and Residences in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue responded to the incident on Monday night, approximately 9:30 p.m. Levi, 45, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau is investigating the fall as an "unclassified death." However, a police report initially listed the incident as a "Suicide w/injuries." This classification has been strongly rejected by Levi's friends and family.

According to reports, Levi was scheduled to meet two friends at the resort. As the friends arrived at the valet, Levi sent a text message stating, "I'm coming." Moments later, they heard a loud impact and witnessed what appeared to be a person falling from a balcony.

Friends described Levi as a "larger-than-life" businessman who previously served in the Israel Defense Forces' special forces. Born in Israel, he reportedly arrived in the U.S. with $300 and built a successful multi-million dollar business specializing in restoring properties damaged by natural disasters. His journey was documented on the Israeli reality series "The Americans," which follows expatriates pursuing opportunities in the United States. He was also known as the star of "The Million Dollar Agent."

Levi, a married father of three, was remembered by friends as having been in good spirits the day before his death, enjoying activities such as being on a boat and smoking a cigar. Authorities have not yet released a final determination on the cause or manner of his death, and the investigation is ongoing. Levi is expected to be buried in Israel.
