Disgraced reality television personality Stephen Bear appeared in court Wednesday and admitted to five counts of failing to comply with the notification requirements of the sex offenders register. Bear, 36, was joined by his pregnant wife, Miami, 19, for the proceedings at Thames Magistrates' Court.
Bear was previously jailed in March 2023 for 11 months and placed on the sex offenders register after he filmed and uploaded footage to OnlyFans of himself having sex with former Love Island contestant Georgia Harrison in his garden without her knowledge or consent. He was convicted of voyeurism, disclosing private sexual photographs and films with intent to cause distress, and harassment without violence. Prosecutors estimated he earned over £22,000 from sharing the footage.
The recent charges stem from Bear's failure to inform the police about a trip to Brazil last year and his subsequent failure to notify officers within three days of his return to the UK. He also did not report acquiring a new passport and two new bank cards during his time abroad.
According to his defense, Bear was unaware he needed to notify police within three days of returning to the UK. His defense stated that his NatWest card was blocked while he was in Brazil, prompting him to apply for cards from Wise and Revolut to cover living expenses. His passport was lost while in Brazil, and he contacted the British consulate for a replacement. Bear returned to the UK in April 2026 because his father had died.
The sex offenders register notification requirements were imposed for a decade following his 2023 sentencing. The charges related to foreign travel were dated January 17 of last year, and the return to the UK was noted as April 27 of this year. The charge regarding the new passport was on January 20 last year, and the bank card charges were on May 14 this year.
In January of last year, Bear had posted a video from Brazil, stating, "The police can't catch me now." He also revealed he was with his then-girlfriend, Miami, describing her as his "18-year-old Latina girlfriend."
Bear and Miami, who announced in March that they are expecting their first child, were married in July. It is not publicly known when the couple first met.
Bear's sentencing for the current offenses is scheduled for Chelmsford Crown Court on Thursday, where he will also be sentenced for breaching a restraining order, an offense unrelated to the sex offenders register breaches. He is due back at Thames Magistrates' Court on August 14.
