Reality television personality Mackayla Paige, widely known as 'Kash,' has died after being shot outside a nightclub in Oakland, California. She was 29 years old.

The Oakland Police Department reported that officers responded to a shooting on the 200 block of 14th Street around 1:30 a.m. PT on Sunday, October 11. Paige was found with a gunshot wound and was transported to a local hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

Paige gained recognition for her appearances on reality shows such as "Young & Reckless," "Real West Coast Baddies," and "RoomH8z," which aired on the streaming platform Now That's TV. These shows were noted for their focus on dramatic confrontations.

According to reports, Paige had shared videos of herself at a nightclub earlier in the evening. Police have not yet released details regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting. However, authorities confirmed that a woman from Richmond, California, has been arrested in connection with the incident. The identity of the arrested individual has not been disclosed, and the Oakland Police Department's Homicide Section is leading the investigation.

Friends and family gathered near the shooting site on Monday to establish a makeshift memorial. A woman identifying herself as Poodahh, a friend of Paige, described her as "so fun" and "hella fun." Paige's cousin, Nicky Clayton, stated that the late reality star "wanted to be famous so bad" and aspired to start her own business, model, and pursue a career in makeup. Another cousin, Azima King, expressed her distress, saying she felt "floating" and "shaking" in the aftermath of the tragedy.

Authorities are asking for public assistance and urge anyone with information or relevant photo or video evidence to contact the Oakland Police Department at (510) 238-3821 or its tip line at (510) 238-7950. Tips can also be submitted via email to [email protected].
