Reality Star Kash's Sister Charged in Fatal Brawl

Vernika Dunbar, 38, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter by the Alameda County District Attorney's office in connection with the death of her sister, reality TV star Mackayla Paige, known professionally as Kash. Authorities state that Dunbar fired the fatal shot during a mass brawl that occurred early Sunday, October 11.

Oakland police reported that Dunbar entered the violent confrontation in an attempt to defend her sister. Investigators allege that Dunbar was attempting to strike a woman who was fighting with Paige using a handgun at the time of the incident.

Paige, who gained recognition as a reality television personality, was shot and killed shortly after 1:30 a.m. on the morning of the altercation.
