Reality Star Faces Backlash for JFK Assassination Halloween Costume

Reality television personality McCall DaPron has drawn significant criticism for her family's Halloween costume, which depicted the assassination of President John F. Kennedy.

DaPron, 36, who is set to appear in the upcoming series 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,' dressed as Jackie Kennedy, wearing a pink suit and pillbox hat reminiscent of the former First Lady's attire on November 22, 1963. Her husband appeared as President Kennedy, their children as the Kennedy children, and others as Secret Service agents.

Images of the costume were shared on Instagram, where many users condemned the choice as "appallingly distasteful" and "insensitive." One comment read, "[You're] dressing up as a woman on the scariest day of her life." In response to the backlash, DaPron turned off comments on her Instagram post but left the photos visible.

The controversy emerges shortly before DaPron's debut on 'The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives: Orange County,' which is scheduled to premiere on Hulu on November 12. Other cast members include Jen Affleck, Aspyn Ovard, Avery Woods, Bobbi Althoff, Salome Andrea, Ashleigh Pease, and Madison Bontempo.

DaPron is not the only public figure to face criticism for Halloween costumes this year. Paris Hilton recently drew backlash for dressing as Belle from 'Beauty and the Beast' while her children wore costumes of supporting characters. Hilton defended her choice, stating it was based on her children's requests.

She shared photos of herself standing beside her husband Kirk DaPron, who wore a gray suit and blue tie akin to what the former president wore on that infamous day. Two of the DaProns' kids were dressed up as the Kennedy children while the other two wore Secret Service garb
