Yazmin Oukhellou, a former star of the reality television show "The Only Way Is Essex" (TOWIE), has checked herself into a luxury rehabilitation center in Spain. The facility reportedly costs £4,500 per week and offers holistic treatment for mental health and addiction recovery.
Oukhellou, 32, stated on social media that she is "finally giving myself permission to deal with things I've pushed down for a long time" and is learning to "slow down, be honest with myself and actually heal." She described the retreat as "your home away from home with expert care and an individually tailored treatment plan."
This decision comes weeks after police raided her home in connection with a knife attack that occurred at the Mayfair nightclub, Mistress of Mayfair, in the early hours of August 10. During the incident, a man identified as Rhys Copas, the new partner of an ex-girlfriend of the suspect, sustained an 8cm slash to his neck.
Following the assault, police arrested Lucci Guthrie, 28, at Oukhellou's flat on suspicion of attempted murder. Officers reportedly conducted an armed raid on the property in Hertfordshire. Oukhellou was reportedly present during the raid but was not arrested and is not considered a suspect.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police confirmed that a 28-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to a west London police station, where he remains. The assault occurred at a nightclub in St James' Street, Mayfair, and the victim was taken to the hospital with a stab wound to his neck. The Met Police stated the injury was potentially life-changing.
The nightclub incident reportedly took place during a birthday celebration for Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey, attended by several Premier League players. Police were called to the scene shortly after midnight and the club was subsequently shut down.
This retreat marks Oukhellou's latest step in her recovery journey, having stepped away from TOWIE three years prior to focus on her health after being injured in a car crash that resulted in the death of her boyfriend, Jake McLean. Since leaving reality television, Oukhellou has been working as an influencer and beauty salon owner. The rehabilitation center is located in a picturesque mountain setting in Spain, and Oukhellou shared glimpses of her stay on Instagram.
