Daisy de la Hoya, who gained prominence on VH1's "Rock of Love" and its spin-off "Daisy of Love" in the late 2000s, is currently seeking employment in the fast food industry. The 42-year-old performer has shared on social media that she has applied for positions at McDonald's and Jack in the Box. "I just applied to McDonald's twice. Please do not tell me I am not trying to look for a job," de la Hoya stated, expressing frustration with the job search. She added, "The jobs just don't want me. I'm over doing my best damn work every day for them."
De la Hoya, who was a notable figure during her reality television tenure, attempted to transition into acting and music after her shows concluded. However, her career was reportedly impacted by substance abuse issues. She has been open about her struggles and has been involved in treatment programs. In August 2025, she announced on social media that she had graduated from an outpatient drug rehabilitation program. In June, de la Hoya also took on a role as a door-to-door canvasser for Doctors Without Borders and began summer school.
Beyond her job search, de la Hoya co-hosts a podcast titled "Pink Cassette" and continues to work on music. During her peak fame, she was linked to several prominent musicians, including Tommy Lee, Dave Navarro, and C.C. DeVille, and was a regular on Hollywood red carpets. She was a breakout star from the second season of "Rock of Love with Bret Michaels," a show that drew significant viewership for VH1 in the mid-2000s.
