Jennifer Pedranti, a star of "Real Housewives of Orange County," has confirmed that one of her sons was involved in starting a wildfire in Ladera Ranch, California, on Tuesday. The fire spread across seven acres, prompting a response from the Orange County Fire Authority. Pedranti stated that her son and others were involved and that they, along with her ex-husband William Pedranti, are taking the incident very seriously.
"This behavior is unacceptable and we are deeply sorry to our community," Pedranti said in a statement posted to her Instagram Stories. "This is a tough learning moment for our son and our family."
The reality star expressed gratitude that no property damage occurred and no one was injured. Firefighters were able to contain the blaze before it reached nearby homes, utilizing both ground crews and aerial water drops. The fire was reported at 4:45 p.m. local time.
While no arrests were made, Pedranti confirmed that her son will face consequences, including taking a fire safety course. "There are consequences within our family and we will make sure our son learns from this accident," she stated.
Pedranti, who joined "The Real Housewives of Orange County" in its 17th season, is set to appear in the show's 20th season premiering July 9. She divorced William Pedranti in 2021 and is engaged to real estate developer Ryan Boyajian.
