Victoria Montano, a personality known for her appearance on "The Real Housewives of Sydney," reported a concerning encounter during a recent visit to Newtown.
Montano stated that while attending a movie at Dendy Cinemas with her husband, Tim Odillo Maher, another moviegoer allegedly threatened to fight her. According to Montano, the incident occurred because she was using her phone during the film's advertisements. She humorously described the situation on social media, claiming she possesses a "fly kick" and that the other individual left the cinema fearing a confrontation.
Following the alleged incident, Montano and her husband proceeded to search for their car, which Maher had parked in what he described as "the bowels of Newtown."
The experience reportedly left Montano unsettled, leading her to decide against dining in Newtown. Instead, she purchased dumplings from a local establishment and took them back to her residence in Darling Point to consume them. She shared a clip of the takeout meal on her social media, remarking that they had to return "home to safety to eat."
This incident follows a previous controversy in March, when Montano drew criticism for a social media post that appeared to mock individuals experiencing homelessness. She shared a photo of a tent and a pram in a park with the caption "Waterfront living at Woolloomooloo," which was perceived by some as insensitive. The post was later deleted, but not before being shared among social media users who expressed outrage.
Montano has previously been part of public displays of wealth with her "Real Housewives of Sydney" castmates, which also garnered criticism for ostentatious displays of designer clothing and accessories, including a video where she referred to her possessions as "Montano money."
