Prime Video has announced that the fourth season of the popular action series ‘Reacher,’ starring Alan Ritchson, will premiere on Wednesday, August 12. The streamer has also renewed the series for a fifth season.
The upcoming fourth season will draw from Lee Child’s thirteenth Jack Reacher novel, titled “Gone Tomorrow.” The season will introduce eight new cast members, including Christopher Rodriguez-Marquette as Jacob Merrick, Kevin Corrigan as Detective Docherty, Sydelle Noel as Tamara Green, Agnez Mo as Lila Hoth, Anggun as Amisha Hoth, Kevin Weisman as Russell Plum, Marc Blucas as John Samson, and Kathleen Robertson as Elsbeth Samson.
Rodriguez-Marquette is stepping into the role of Jacob Merrick, replacing Jay Baruchel who departed the series due to personal reasons.
The first three episodes of ‘Reacher’ Season 4 will be available on August 12, followed by a weekly release schedule. The season finale is scheduled to debut on September 16, which coincides with the premiere of all eight episodes of the ‘Reacher’ spinoff focusing on Neagley.
‘Reacher’ is exclusively available for streaming on Prime Video. New subscribers can sign up for a 30-day free trial of Amazon Prime, which includes access to Prime Video and other Prime member benefits. After the trial period, Amazon Prime costs $14.99 per month or $139 annually. A discounted Prime for Young Adults membership is available for individuals aged 18 to 24, offering a 50% monthly discount after a six-month free trial.
Amazon MGM Studios Head of Global Television Peter Friedlander stated that the series has become a “powerhouse franchise” due to its combination of action and character-driven storytelling, resonating with millions of viewers worldwide. The renewal for a fifth season ahead of the fourth season's debut underscores the show's momentum.
