“Reacher” Renewed for Season 5 on Prime Video, Production Underway
The popular action series starring Alan Ritchson has been greenlit for a fifth season, with production commencing in July 2026.
Prime Video has officially renewed the hit action series "Reacher" for a fifth season. Production for the upcoming season began in July 2026.
The series, based on Lee Child's globally bestselling novels and starring Alan Ritchson as the titular Jack Reacher, has become a significant franchise for Amazon MGM Studios. Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television at Amazon MGM Studios, stated in May that the show's blend of high-octane action and character-driven storytelling resonates with a vast global audience.
"Reacher" Season 5 is set to adapt the 20th book in Lee Child's series, "Make Me." While an official release date has not yet been announced, the production timeline suggests a potential debut on Prime Video in the fall or winter of 2027.
Four new series regulars have been announced for the upcoming season: Jay Baruchel, Kevin Durand, Amanda Ip, and Ciara Bravo. Baruchel was previously attached to a role in the fourth season but had to withdraw due to personal matters.
The fourth season of "Reacher," consisting of eight episodes, is currently available for streaming on Prime Video. The series' success has also led to a spinoff, "Neagley," starring Maria Sten, which has also recently premiered on the platform.
Viewers can access "Reacher" and its spinoff through an Amazon Prime subscription, which offers a 30-day free trial. Monthly subscriptions cost $14.99, with an annual option available for $139. A discounted Prime for Young Adults membership is also available for individuals aged 18 to 24, offering a 50% discount after a six-month trial.
