Ravens Quarterback Lamar Jackson Undergoes MRI for Ankle Injury

Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is undergoing an MRI exam to assess the severity of an ankle injury sustained during the team's 24-18 victory against the Tennessee Titans. Jackson was seen leaving the stadium in a protective boot on his left foot.

The injury occurred shortly before halftime during a 29-yard scramble for a first down. Jackson was hit below the knee and spiraled out of bounds on the play, which was ultimately nullified by a holding penalty on rookie receiver Elijah Sarratt. The quarterback's ankle was caught underneath the opponent's body weight.

Jackson did not speak to reporters after the game. Head coach Jesse Minter expressed cautious optimism, stating, "He was just dealing with a little bit of an ankle, we hope. I don’t know enough about it right now. But we’ll have to see where that’s at."

Backup quarterback Tyler Huntley replaced Jackson and completed 8 of 9 passes for 63 yards, adding 16 rushing yards on four carries. If Jackson is sidelined, Huntley would be the primary backup.

The Ravens, now 3-1 on the season, are scheduled to play the Atlanta Falcons next week on Sunday Night Football.
