Raven-Symoné Reveals Diaper Use During Menstruation
The actress shared on her podcast that she opts for disposable diapers to manage her period, citing a desire to avoid internal products.
Raven-Symoné has disclosed that she wears disposable diapers, along with a "baby T-shirt and binky," during her menstrual cycle. The former Disney Channel star made the confession on her podcast, "Tea Time," which she co-hosts with her wife, Miranda Pearman-Maday.
Symoné explained that her decision stems from changes in her period over the years and a preference for not using internal menstrual products. "I'm just able to wear a diaper throughout the day, with a little baby T-shirt and a binky in my mouth and run around the house — shoutout ‘Rugrats’ — I’m thriving," she stated.
She expressed openness to endorsements from companies that produce adult diapers, humorously noting, "If there’s a diaper company out there for grown people, I’m down for it." Symoné also added, "There’s nothing like wearing a pair of saggy jeans and like my diaper sagging instead of my Calvins."
Pearman-Maday commented on Symoné's practice, mentioning that the actress experiences "wet diaper booty." However, Symoné advocated for a broader approach to menstrual management, encouraging others to consider unconventional methods. "I really appreciate that we’re starting to like think outside the box of the period and containment," she said.
Symoné also mentioned trying reusable cloth diapers, but found that disposable ones "didn’t hold as much." Despite her wife not adopting the same practice, Pearman-Maday expressed her acceptance, stating, "I’m like, she’s on her period. Understood."
