A British musician and media personality, known as Yung Filly, has been acquitted of three charges of rape in a Perth, Australia court. The jury found the artist, legally named Andres Felipe Valencia Barrientos, not guilty of three counts of sexually penetrating a woman without consent.

However, the 30-year-old was found guilty of two assault charges. These convictions stem from incidents where he bit the woman's neck, cheek, and breast during a sexual encounter in September 2024. The jury reached a hung decision on three other sexual penetration counts, and the case is scheduled to return to court at a later date.

Barrientos, who had pleaded not guilty to all 10 charges, faced an eight-day trial in the West Australian District Court. He was on his first tour of Australia when he met the 20-year-old woman after a performance in Perth. Prosecutors alleged that Barrientos became aggressive during consensual sex after the woman questioned if he was recording her. The defense admitted to biting incidents, with Barrientos describing them as "love bites."

The trial has impacted the career of the Colombia-born, South London artist, known for appearances on the BBC's celebrity version of Bake Off and hosting shows like "Hot Property." He has amassed a significant following across platforms including TikTok, YouTube, and Spotify. During the trial, Judge Linda Black banned some of Yung Filly's fans from the courtroom due to illegal recordings being posted online.
