Rande Gerber made a somber visit to his late son Presley's Hollywood Hills home on Friday, days after the 27-year-old model's sudden death. Gerber arrived at the property in a black Range Rover and walked to the front door with his head bowed, wearing a baseball cap.
This marks the second time Gerber has been to the residence since Presley's death, which is being investigated as a suspected overdose. He and his wife, Cindy Crawford, were previously seen leaving the home together on Monday, the day after Presley died. The businessman reportedly spent approximately three hours at the property during his Friday visit.
Presley Gerber has been cremated, according to a death certificate obtained by TMZ. His occupation was listed as an entrepreneur who worked in mental health. His parents are expected to keep his ashes at their Malibu home. While an autopsy has been completed, the official cause of death is pending toxicology results.
Sources close to the investigation told TMZ that Presley was found in a bedroom at a high-end Santa Monica rehab facility on September 20. He had reportedly checked into the facility the night before his death, which occurred after he went into cardiac arrest. The circumstances of his discovery in the room are still being clarified, with sources indicating his body was not found on the bed but nearby. The presence of fentanyl has not been a focus of the investigation at this stage.
Audio from the 911 dispatch call made from the rehab facility indicated "cardiac arrest" followed by "overdose." The call was rapidly upgraded, escalating from a cardiac arrest report to an overdose within three minutes, and then further upgraded shortly thereafter.
Friends of Presley have reportedly expressed anger towards a physician who allegedly prescribed him ketamine, a substance he had previous issues with, despite knowing about his struggles with addiction. Ketamine can be used in addiction treatment, though not for FDA-approved uses.
Presley had been open about his decade-long battle with drug addiction, panic attacks, and mental health challenges. In March, he posted about undergoing a
