The second season of the Netflix Western drama 'Ransom Canyon' is set to premiere on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 3:00 a.m. ET. This new season will feature eight episodes, a decrease from the 10 episodes that comprised the first season. Creator and showrunner April Blair explained that the shorter season was a practical decision, aiming to maintain momentum and storytelling intensity without any narrative lulls.

Season 2 picks up six months after the events of the first season. The story follows rancher Staten as he works to reclaim his legacy after being removed as trustee of his family’s Double K Ranch. Meanwhile, musician Quinn faces a decision about her future, weighing her connection to the small town against opportunities in New York City.

'Ransom Canyon' stars Minka Kelly as Quinn O’Grady and Josh Duhamel as Staten Kirkland. The new season also introduces several new cast members, including actors from 'House of Cards' and '9-1-1: Nashville.' The season will also feature guest appearances from Country music stars Thomas Rhett and Jordan Davis.

Additional cast members for Season 2 include Jack Schumacher as Yancy Grey, Marianly Tejada as Ellie Catawnee, Lizzy Greene as Lauren Brigman, Garrett Wareing as Lucas Russell, Casey W. Johnson as Kit Russell, Brett Cullen as Sam Kirkland, Patricia Clarkson as Claire, Ben Robson as Oliver, Heidi Grace Engerman as Sidney, Philip Winchester as Sheriff Dan Brigman, Steve Howey as Levi, Justin Johnson Cortez as Kai Flores, Kenneth Miller as Freddie, Lauren Glazier as Angie O’Grady, and Tatanka Means as Jake Longbow.

The series is available for streaming on Netflix. The platform offers multiple subscription plans, with prices starting at $7.99 per month for a standard plan with ads, up to $24.99 per month for an ad-free premium plan with 4K UHD quality.
