Rams Tackle Alaric Jackson Punches Bills' Bradley Chubb After Overtime Loss, Faces Potential NFL Suspension

Los Angeles Rams left tackle Alaric Jackson is under scrutiny after being captured on video throwing a punch at Buffalo Bills linebacker Bradley Chubb immediately following the Bills' 37-34 overtime victory on Monday night. The incident occurred near midfield as the teams concluded the game.

The confrontation escalated after the Bills' game-winning field goal. Video evidence shows Chubb and Jackson engaging verbally before Jackson approached Chubb and delivered a right-handed punch. Chubb stated that his teammates restrained him after the exchange, and he "just chilled."

Further video obtained by The California Post showed Chubb confronting Jackson again as the Rams lineman headed toward the locker room. Injured Rams defensive end Myles Garrett reportedly intervened to prevent further physical altercation.

Jackson's actions come at a critical time for both him and the Rams. He has a history of off-field issues, including an arrest in June on suspicion of felony domestic violence, which was later referred to a pre-filing diversion program without criminal charges being filed. Additionally, Jackson served a two-game NFL suspension in 2024 for violating the league's personal conduct policy.

With the NFL having already suspended San Francisco 49ers linebacker Dre Greenlaw earlier on Monday for an on-field incident, Jackson's punch is likely to draw further review from the league. The NFL will determine if disciplinary action is warranted. The Rams, having already lost the game, could face the additional challenge of losing their starting left tackle if the league imposes a suspension.
