Rams Player Punches Bills Player After Intense Matchup
Los Angeles Rams offensive lineman Alaric Jackson confronted and struck Buffalo Bills pass rusher Bradley Chubb following a hard-fought Monday Night Football game.
Los Angeles Rams star Alaric Jackson engaged in a physical altercation with Buffalo Bills player Bradley Chubb after their Monday Night Football contest, which the Bills ultimately won 37-34 in overtime. The incident, captured by ESPN, occurred as players were exchanging jerseys.
Chubb was seen pointing at Jackson from midfield as the Rams player was completing a jersey swap. Jackson then approached Chubb aggressively, confronting him and delivering a punch that knocked Chubb's hat off. Teammates from both sides intervened quickly to de-escalate the situation. Rams tight end Colby Parkinson and teammate Shaun Dolac were among the first to separate Jackson. Bills defender Greg Rousseau also moved to protect Chubb, who was being restrained by a teammate.
Jackson, a Canadian offensive lineman in his sixth season with the Rams and a Super Bowl champion in 2021, signed a contract extension in 2025. He faced legal scrutiny in the offseason leading up to the current season.
In June, Jackson was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery concerning an alleged dispute with a 38-year-old woman who claimed to have sustained scratches and bruises. Los Angeles City Attorney's Office spokesperson Ivor Pine confirmed in July that prosecutors would not file charges at that time, noting the case remained open for re-evaluation. Pine stated the matter had been assigned for a City Attorney Hearing, a diversionary program as an alternative to misdemeanor prosecution.
This incident follows a previous suspension Jackson served in 2024 for two games under the NFL's personal conduct policy. This suspension was reportedly linked to a civil lawsuit filed in November 2025, in which a woman alleged Jackson recorded her without consent during sexual activity and refused to delete the footage. The lawsuit, initially filed in Los Angeles Superior Court and later moved to federal court, was dismissed in April 2026.
