Rams' Injury Woes Deepen with Landman Out Against Raiders

The Los Angeles Rams are facing a significant injury crisis as linebacker Nate Landman has been officially ruled out of Sunday's critical matchup against the Las Vegas Raiders due to a concussion. Head coach Sean McVay confirmed Landman's absence on Friday, adding another key player to an already depleted defensive unit.

Landman's unavailability is a blow to a Rams defense that has been hit hard by injuries. With defensive tackle Poona Ford out for the season, Kobie Turner sidelined for multiple weeks, and Myles Garrett still recovering, Landman's absence removes another vital contributor. The team is desperately trying to keep its season alive amidst these setbacks.

The injury concerns extend to other crucial players. All-Pro cornerback Trent McDuffie, who missed the previous game with a groin injury, did not practice on Friday and is questionable for the Raiders game. His participation is uncertain, especially after missing the entire week of practice.

Adding to the offensive concerns, star wide receiver Puka Nacua suffered a calf injury during Thursday's practice and also missed Friday's session. McVay stated Nacua is questionable and will be a game-time decision. If Nacua cannot play, the Rams would be without both starting receivers, as Davante Adams is already expected to miss 6-10 weeks following hamstring surgery.

These mounting injuries across both offense and defense put the Rams, currently 2-4 and last in the NFC West, in a precarious position. The team has already struggled with penalties, special teams errors, and an inability to close out games, and the extensive injury list now threatens to derail their season before it can gain momentum.
