Rams' Defensive Line Suffers Major Blows with Key Injuries to Ford and Turner

The Los Angeles Rams' defensive line has been significantly impacted by recent injuries, with defensive tackle Poona Ford ruled out for the season and defensive end Kobie Turner sidelined for 4-6 weeks. Head coach Sean McVay announced the extent of the injuries on Tuesday.

Ford suffered a ruptured triceps, while Turner is dealing with a groin injury. These absences add to an already depleted defensive front. Star edge rusher Myles Garrett has been out for the past five games with a knee issue and lacks a clear return timeline. Additionally, Aaron Donald missed time earlier in the season with a back injury and is still recovering from a two-year retirement.

Ford has been a critical player in stopping the run, recording six solo tackles this season. Turner has been active across the field, accumulating seven solo tackles, 15 assisted tackles, and two passes defended.

These injuries come at a difficult time for the Rams, who fell to a 2-4 record after a 18-16 home loss to the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The team also recently lost receiver Davante Adams to a hamstring injury, which is expected to keep him out for 6-10 weeks.

The string of injuries to key defensive players, including Garrett, Ford, and Turner, may force the Rams to seek external reinforcements to bolster their defensive line.
