Rams Defensive End Myles Garrett Nears Return from Injury
Encouraging news for the Rams as star pass rusher Myles Garrett is expected to return to practice soon, potentially playing in Week 8.
The Los Angeles Rams may be getting a significant boost to their defense as star edge rusher Myles Garrett is nearing a return from injury. NFL insider Ian Rapoport reported on "The Pat McAfee Show" that Garrett is likely to return to practice next week, approximately seven weeks after sustaining a knee injury.
This potential return to practice offers a glimmer of hope for the Rams, who have been plagued by a series of injuries to key players. Garrett underwent arthroscopic knee surgery and was placed on Injured Reserve following the team's Week 1 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
While his return to practice does not guarantee immediate game availability, it is a positive step forward. Garrett could potentially be cleared to play as early as Week 8. His absence has been keenly felt by the Rams' defense, which has also lost critical players like Kobie Turner and Poona Ford to extended time on the sidelines due to serious injuries. Additionally, Davante Adams is expected to miss around two months with a torn hamstring, and Puka Nacua recently injured his calf.
The 2-4 Rams are in a critical part of their season and hope that Garrett's potential return, along with other players recovering from injuries, can help them turn their season around. The team is set to face a determined Raiders squad on Sunday before a Week 8 matchup against the Chargers.
