The demolition of the Promenade mall in Woodland Hills marks the initial phase of the Los Angeles Rams' ambitious $10 billion "Rams Village at Warner Center" project. The 52-acre development is planned to include the team's permanent headquarters and training facility, alongside over 3,100 homes, retail spaces, restaurants, offices, a hotel, and entertainment venues.
Project Milestones and Timeline
The cleared site is now under review by the City of Los Angeles, with the Los Angeles Planning Department processing a Project Permit Compliance review. No construction has commenced on the new village, and no building permits have been issued. If the city grants approval, construction is projected to begin in 2027. The entire project is expected to take approximately a decade to complete.
Operational Presence
While the large-scale development awaits city approval and construction, the Rams have already established a temporary practice facility in Woodland Hills, which opened in August 2024. This facility is slated for use throughout the construction period. The proposed permanent training complex will preserve the existing outdoor grass fields and add an indoor practice facility, ensuring the team maintains a local operational base during the multi-year development process.
