Raiders Coach Klint Kubiak Anticipates 'Whole New Ballgame' in New Orleans' Superdome

Las Vegas Raiders head coach Klint Kubiak has voiced his anticipation for the unique challenges posed by playing in the Caesars Superdome, describing it as a "whole new ballgame" for visiting teams.

The Raiders are set to face the New Orleans Saints in Week 3, with both teams enjoying strong starts to their respective seasons. Las Vegas is 2-0 for the first time since 2021, while the Saints are coming off a victory against the Baltimore Ravens and a near-win against the Detroit Lions.

"You can prep them as much as you want, but once you get there to an environment like that, it’s a whole new ballgame," Kubiak stated. "It’s a great environment to play."

The Saints' success this season has been attributed in part to second-year head coach Kellen Moore and quarterback Tyler Shough, who has thrown for 662 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. Kubiak expects the Saints' home crowd to create a difficult atmosphere for the Raiders.

"That’s what makes the NFL so fun is environments like this," Kubiak said.

The Raiders' early success is also due to a revamped offensive approach under Kubiak, a first-time head coach. Quarterback Kirk Cousins has started the season strong, completing 67.8% of his passes for 413 yards, six touchdowns, and three interceptions. The team's offensive line, bolstered by free agent acquisition Tyler Linderbaum and Spencer Burford, has also shown improvement. Additionally, running back Ashton Jeanty has emerged as a key contributor, with 150 rushing yards and two receiving touchdowns.
