RAF Jet Crashes in Wales; Pilots Eject Safely

A Royal Air Force (RAF) Hawk T2 training aircraft crashed on Wednesday near RAF Valley in Wales, moments after taking off. Both pilots on board ejected safely using parachutes.

Eyewitnesses reported seeing flames coming from the jet before it descended near the village of Rhosneigr. The aircraft was being operated by two trainee pilots who are not believed to be seriously injured, according to a source.

A video shared on Facebook showed a Wales Air Ambulance helicopter landing in a field close to the incident. Gareth Wyn Jones, a farming influencer, posted an image on social media that appeared to show two crew members descending with parachutes.

One eyewitness told his wife he saw "flames" as the jet took off and was "in trouble." He described watching the jet climb and then pitch violently upward twice before the pilots ejected. The Hawk jet crashed approximately one mile away.

A source confirmed awareness of the incident, stating, "We're aware of an incident involving a Hawk jet. We believe the crew was not seriously injured and ejected." The crash occurred within the last hour of the report.
