Rachel Dolezal Wants to Discuss Identity with 'Palestinian Rachel Dolezal'

Nkechi Diallo, formerly known as Rachel Dolezal, has expressed a desire to meet with Hannah Gann, a Philadelphia activist recently exposed for allegedly fabricating her Palestinian identity. Gann, who is white and Jewish, has been compared to Dolezal due to the controversy surrounding her own racial and ethnic claims.

Diallo, who now works as a sex coach and runs a practice called Bandwidth Coach, stated that she would be interested in having dinner with Gann to hear her story. "Girl, tell me your story. Headlines are saying one thing, how did you get to where you are and where do you go from here?" Diallo said in an interview.

Dolezal, who gained notoriety in 2015 for falsely presenting herself as Black, suggested that Gann's personal life or alleged misrepresentations should not overshadow her activism. "If she identifies as Palestinian or Jewish or white or blue or green or whatever, is she doing good work? Is she making a difference?" Diallo questioned. "People in activist causes have all different kinds of personal lives."

Gann, a former history teacher at The Workshop School in Philadelphia, was reportedly confronted by local activist groups who questioned her background. She subsequently admitted to being a white Jewish woman with family ties in Israel, contradicting her public persona as a Palestinian activist. Reports indicated Gann grew up in a affluent household in Falls Church, Virginia, with a father who is a tax attorney and a mother who is a Democratic donor.

Gann was known for her anti-Israel activism and would often adopt a vocal style and appearance that critics described as a "blaccent" and heavy makeup to enhance her perceived identity. She was notably called "Philadelphia's Leading Antisemite" on a mobile billboard.

Diallo distanced herself from Gann, suggesting that Gann's situation more closely resembled that of Jessica Krug, a former George Washington University professor who admitted to lying about her race. "Hannah Gann sounds more similar to Jessica Krug than me," Diallo stated.

Gann has not responded to requests for comment regarding the situation.
