Rachael Ray Returns to Spotlight Hosting Food Festival Amid Fan Concerns

Rachael Ray, 58, made a public appearance on Thursday, hosting the 18th annual Blue Moon Burger Bash in New York City. Ray was in apparent good spirits at the event, co-hosting with comedian Bert Kreischer. This appearance comes after recent fan concern over her appearance and speech, which began earlier this year.

During the festival, Ray encouraged attendees to vote for their favorite burger. "A huge crowd here! My love to everyone within the sound of our voices!" she announced. Kreischer, who also appeared on Ray's cooking show "Something's Burning," called it an "honor" to work alongside her.

Three eateries were recognized at the event: Nowon won the Blue Moon People's Choice Award, Gotham Burger Social Club received the Pat LaFrieda Judges' Choice Award, and RW Prime was awarded the Mike's Amazing Special Opportunity award. Celebrity judges including Cedric the Entertainer and Sophie Flay were present.

In July, Ray shared a video offering seasoning tips, which prompted comments from fans who noted she looked "unrecognizable" and questioned if "something happened to her." Last year, her speech in a Mother's Day video also drew concern for sounding "slurred."

An insider previously told The Daily Mail that Ray has been living a "very secluded life" and has "shut people out" since the conclusion of her syndicated show, "The Rachael Ray Show," in 2023 after 17 seasons. Her new program, "Meals in Minutes," premiered in April 2024. The source added that Ray "has not had the easiest time" since the end of her long-running show, which was described as her "pride and joy."
