Rachael Ray Addresses Fan Concerns About Her Health and Well-being
The television personality shared insights into her diet and lifestyle, emphasizing a healthy approach to menopause.
Amid ongoing concerns from fans about her health, television chef Rachael Ray has revealed her approach to diet and wellness, particularly in relation to menopause. The 58-year-old emphasized the importance of a healthy lifestyle, recommending a diet rich in fruits and vegetables.
"We grow everything," Ray told People magazine, noting her access to fresh produce from her own garden beds. She advocates for a "colorful" diet, which she personally practices by utilizing the produce she cultivates.
However, Ray stated that she has not personally experienced symptoms of menopause. "I have no menopausal signs of any kind," she said. "My sister’s the same way. She’s 67. She never had them either. I’ve always had an easy time, just in life, when it comes to that kind of stuff."
She also mentioned following her doctors' advice regarding hormone replacement therapy or other treatments. Ray recently contributed recipes to Dr. Ian Smith's book, "The Menopause Kitchen."
Ray also commented on her husband, John Cusimano's, supplement regimen, joking that he takes more supplements than she does. "My husband is a nut for supplements. He goes into the bathroom, he’s in there like 40 minutes… But it works for him. Whatever makes you happy," she said.
These comments come after several instances where fans expressed worry about Ray's health. Concerns were initially raised in September 2024 and again in May 2025 after she appeared to slur her speech in social media videos. Following these incidents, Ray explained that she had experienced "a couple of bad falls" that year.
In a separate discussion on Jenny Mollen's podcast "I'll Sleep When I'm Dead," Ray described her affinity for household chores and physical activities, though noted that her recent falls have limited her ability to engage in some of them, like carrying wood.
In October 2025, Ray addressed speculation that she had withdrawn from public life. "I never left," she told Us Weekly. "I just switched over to A+E and new partners, that’s all. But I’ve been working constantly."
Ray divides her time between her home in Tuscany, Italy, and New York.
