QVC host John Battagliese shared a throwback clip of himself coming close to an awkward on-air gaffe, mirroring a recent incident involving fellow host Toni Brattin. The incident, which Battagliese posted to his Instagram, occurred while he was promoting HomeWorx by Slatkin + Co. Seaside candles.
When describing the piña colada scent, Battagliese stumbled over his words, nearly saying "penis" before correcting himself to "pineapple colada." He captioned the video, "Live TV is not for the faint of heart… had to bring this out from the QVC blooper vault." He also cited "poor eyesight" for misreading "pineapple colada" on his card.
Last week, Toni Brattin, known for her wig line, went viral after an X-rated slip-up during the show. While promoting a wig, she commented, "It looks like you went and got a b**w job... a blowout at your salon." Visibly horrified, Brattin turned away from the camera, whispered "Oh my God," and later fell to the floor behind a table of wigs.
Brattin also shared the clip on her Instagram, writing, "The show must go on," with a laughing emoji and hashtags indicating "bloopers, blowout, and live TV."
