QVC host Sandra Bennett became visibly emotional and broke down in tears live on air while celebrating her 20th anniversary with the channel. The surprise occurred during a segment where Bennett was selling Dr. Denese skincare.
Co-hosts Alberti Popaj and Meghan Murray interrupted Bennett's segment to present her with the surprise. Popaj expressed his admiration for Bennett, stating, "You are not only gorgeous on the outside... but you are even more beautiful inside." He added, "You are a true friend, and you are the person that I call... I love you more than anything."
Bennett, visibly moved, embraced Popaj and shared with the audience that she and her co-hosts are very close friends, often spending time together off-camera. "We have had so many dinners together, we have shared so many laughs over the years," she said.
Bennett later shared a clip of the moment on her Instagram, calling it one of her favorite moments from the previous night. She thanked Murray for arranging the surprise and described her bond with Popaj and Murray, calling them "best friends on planet earth." Bennett noted that the three have experienced many significant life events together, both joyous and difficult. She humorously added that she was so surprised that she didn't realize a product had sold out during her segment, a first in her 20 years with QVC.
Bennett co-hosts the program "Friday Night Beauty" with Popaj, and has appeared on various programs with Murray over the years.
This on-air moment follows another recent viral incident involving a QVC host. Last month, host Toni Brattin made an on-air gaffe while showcasing a wig line. Brattin inadvertently made an explicit comment about the wig's texture before quickly correcting herself to say it looked like a "blowout at your salon." She later told TMZ that she thought to herself, "Did I just say what I think I said?" Brattin attributed the slip-up to the nature of live television, stating, "We all make mistakes, right?"
