The Hollywood Hills residence of filmmaker Quentin Tarantino was the target of a burglary on Wednesday, with occupants reportedly inside the home at the time of the incident. Police were called to the property, located in the 7500 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive, but the intruder had already departed the scene, according to TMZ.
It remains unclear if any items were stolen or if Tarantino, 63, was present during the alleged break-in. Authorities are currently investigating the incident.
This is not the first time Tarantino's home has been targeted. Approximately eight years prior to this incident, two burglars reportedly entered his Los Angeles home through a back window and made off with jewelry and other property. In November 2015, Tarantino alerted the Los Angeles Police Department after discovering an individual wandering in his backyard. Officers responded quickly, and the individual left the property after being questioned.
In other recent news, Tarantino shared his critical views on contemporary Hollywood, describing it as a "flavorless sausage factory" in an essay for Sight & Sound Magazine. He lamented the prevalence of "audience pandering" and miscasting in modern films, stating it has become difficult to watch new movies. However, he praised the 2026 film "The Rip," directed by Joe Carnahan and starring Ben Affleck and Matt Damon, calling it a "suspenseful new movie" that captivated him. Tarantino commended the film's suspense, premise, direction, screenplay, and cast, specifically lauding cinematographer Juan Miguel Azpiroz.
Tarantino married Israeli singer Daniella Pick, 42, in November 2018.
