Queensland Woman Arrested for Allegedly Attempting to Poison Two Boys

A 47-year-old woman has been arrested in Brisbane, Queensland, on suspicion of attempting to poison two boys.

Police were alerted on September 24 when a 70-year-old man, visiting a home in Mitchelton, reported noticing a "noxious substance." Authorities allege the woman attempted to use this substance to harm a 12-year-old and a 15-year-old boy.

The boys did not require medical treatment and are reported to be safe. The woman was taken to a hospital for treatment and was arrested immediately after her discharge on Thursday.

Investigators from the Ferny Grove Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged the woman with two counts of attempted murder and a domestic violence offense against a child. She was expected to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court on Thursday afternoon.
