Police officers in Queensland, Australia, assisted in the delivery of a baby girl in the back seat of a car parked outside the Browns Plains police station on Tuesday. The incident occurred when a panicked father flagged down officers, alerting them that his 22-year-old partner was in the advanced stages of labor.

The couple had been en route to Logan Hospital when they realized they would not make it in time and pulled over to the police station. Officers responded immediately, with Constable Jenna Ziviani, guided by an ambulance operator on the phone, successfully delivering the baby girl within seven minutes. Paramedics arrived shortly after the birth and transported the family to the hospital.

Senior Sergeant Aleisha Young, who arrived on scene after the delivery, described the event as a celebration, noting that such occurrences are rare in her 27 years of service. Both the mother and the newborn were reported to be healthy and have since returned home. The police released footage of the event, showcasing the successful roadside birth.
