Queen Camilla and Zara Tindall were pictured together at Ascot on Saturday for British Champions Day, the final event of the British Flat racing season. The pair, who share a known passion for horses and equestrian sports, were seen embracing warmly.

Tindall, 45, daughter of Princess Anne, wore a tweed jacket with a white pussybow blouse and a brown leather skirt, complemented by a grey hat with a black bow. Queen Camilla opted for a long blue overcoat, adorned with a horseshoe brooch, and a navy hat by Philip Treacy.

Zara Tindall is a distinguished sportswoman in her own right, having won an Olympic silver medal in equestrian eventing at the London 2012 Games. Her father, Captain Mark Phillips, also won a team gold medal for Britain in eventing in 1972.

Recently, Zara's husband, former rugby player Mike Tindall, spoke about the challenges of raising three children while Zara continued her equestrian career. He acknowledged the "mother's guilt" that can arise and the need for him to play a supportive role.

Tindall also reflected on Zara's upbringing, recalling her parents' "tough-love" approach. She recounted how her parents, Princess Anne and Mark Phillips, insisted she prove herself and produce results if she wanted to pursue a career in equestrian sport, without direct financial help. Zara noted that her father was a particularly critical coach, making her strive for his approval. This experience, she said, has influenced her own parenting style as she tries to avoid being as strict with the next generation.
